Heisuke stared at Ryunosuke and then at the wrapped candy in his hand. He didn’t eat sweets that often but when he did enjoy having a stick of dango when he had the spare time to go buy it.

“I’ve never really had something like this, but I’ll give it a try.” On the same breath, he unwrapped the candy and popped it in his mouth. A pleasant sweet flavour spread across his tongue as he savoured the taste.

“Wow, it tastes great!”

“Woah hang on a moment—” The momentum of the girl jumping on him knocked him to the ground. There sure were a lot of people wanting to hug him lately. Some of them were surprising to say the least and it was making him increasingly weary of his surroundings.

“Could you at least, you know, ask me before doing something like that again?”

He couldn’t tell if it was because of his mun’s influence or something else, but he didn’t know if he could handle any more surprise hugs for the time being.

With nothing else to do Heisuke leaned against the wall that surrounded the compound. For some reason, his mun’s mood was affecting his own so while he wasn’t on patrol he just lingered around the compound. He was so out of it that he didn’t even sense someone come up behind him and—

Heisuke knew this girl, she was someone he saw briefly during that… that time he’d rather forget.

“Come on Meluee it wasn’t my fault!”

“Hm?” Now this was surprising. He’d seen Kazama from afar, it wasn’t exactly easy to ignore someone who acted so… gaudy in public. He’d never talked to his fellow blonde-haired classman but his public displays of… whatever you called it gave him the impression that this guy liked to show off. Especially in front of Chizuru, for some reason.

“I know about as much about these pranks as you do. Nothing.” He liked slacking off and having a joke, but even Heisuke wasn’t dumb enough to pull a prank on school grounds. Not when Saitou was head of the disciplinary committee.
